Does salt soap work differently than regular soap?

Sort of. You will lather it up and wash with the foam as per normal but it’s the lather that’s quite different from normal. It’s like a VERY CREAMY cloud – puffy and light but somehow without giant bubbles. When massaged into the skin, it looks like lotion. It rinses away cleanly and just feels different from regular handmade soap. It also lasts A VERY LONG time in the shower.

Are salt bars scratchy?

No, it’s more like washing yourself with a smooth rock! We’ve not noticed any scratchiness from salt bar soap. It is a VERY hard bar, so be cautious on sensitive areas. We don’t recommend direct contact with your face, but rather lather only. If you’re not convinced you can always lather it up using a pouch/sponge.

Can it be used on the whole body?

Definitely. It is a type of soap to get used to though. The lather is very creamy. You can choose to lather it up first using a bath sponge/pouch or apply it directly on the skin. We don’t recommend direct contact with your face, but rather lather only. It is a very good, hard, bar to use on your feet! 

Does it last long?

This hard soap bar can last for months.

A scent-free, pink-ish round soap bar that has a very creamy lather. Being a natural handmade product, there may be variations in scent, weight, shape, and color. We try to provide the same shape, weight, and color with each batch

HOW TO USE:

Wet skin with (warm) water, gently apply the soap to create a lather, and rinse clean. Use a loofah or washcloth for extra exfoliation & lather.

TIP:

Soap bars have the potential to last a long time — the trick is to keep them as dry as possible between uses. Water breaks your bar down, so keeping it in the direct stream of your shower will shorten its life. Store it outside of the shower on a soap dish, ideally one with holes, to let it dry.
